About
Charles Demoulin is the Chief Investment Officer of Deminor and the Executive Director responsible for the firm’s Private Antitrust Litigation activities. He joined Deminor in 1999 and became a partner in 2008.
As Chief Investment Officer, Charles chairs Deminor’s Investment Committee, where he oversees the evaluation of litigation and arbitration funding opportunities and supervises the firm’s case assessment and review process.
Charles is actively involved in the development of the litigation funding industry in Europe. He is a founding member of the European Litigation Funders Association (ELFA), an organisation that promotes best practices, professional standards, and effective representation of the litigation funding industry in Europe. He serves as Chair of ELFA, having previously joined its Board of Directors and assuming the chairmanship in 2025.
Charles regularly speaks at conferences and expert panels across Europe on competition damages litigation and dispute finance. He is ranked by Chambers and Partners for his work in litigation funding.
Previous work experience
- Attorney at law with the Brussels office of Allen & Overy (formerly known as Loeff Claeys Verbeke) (1997-1999).
Education
- Postgraduate degree in corporate finance: postgraduaat financiewezen (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, 2000).
- Master of Laws, magna cum laude (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, 1996).
